Diagnosis
Our ophthalmology department employs advanced diagnostic tools to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, and ocular alignment. Key diagnostic methods include:

Treatment Modalities:
Early intervention is critical for optimal visual recovery. We offer a range of treatment strategies tailored to each patient:
1. Optical Correction: Refractive amblyopia is managed with precise spectacle or contact lens prescription to correct underlying refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.
2. Occlusion Therapy: Patching of the dominant eye to stimulate visual activity in the amblyopic eye, prescribed based on the severity of amblyopia.
3. Pharmacologic Penalization: Atropine drops to blur the dominant eye, encouraging use of the weaker eye.
4. Vision Therapy and Orthoptic Exercises: Specialized exercises to enhance binocular vision, accommodative function, and depth perception.
5. Surgical Intervention: Indicated for cases with strabismic amblyopia, where ocular misalignment persists despite conservative treatments.
